A native of the Bronx, New York, Martin King was surrounded by musical talent within his family. Musically gifted, he began playing the drums at the age of 3 and by the age of 9 was playing the drums at his local church. Martin’s musical influences came from such great musicians as James Brown, Dave Wreckle, Steve Gadd and Shaun Moonie.

“I am music in soul. All of my musical influences each make a very different kind of experimental sound, which I execute as a drummer. My love of many styles leads me to create and play original music not heard anywhere else.”

Martin has toured all over the world with various artists and as a part of the gospel group Arise for 11 years. His professional credits include performances with Regina Bell, Jessie Powell, and The Yellow Jackets. He was a Bucket Drummer in the four time Tony Award Winning show “Bring In ‘Da Noise, Bring In ‘Da Funk”, and the show “Keep Banging”. Other credits include acting in commercials and recently in the soon to be released movie “Marauders”. Extremely talented and versatile Martin recently scored the very well received movie “Winner Takes All”. He intends to introduce to the world to this new and unique sound. Martin may have started out as a drummer but now has evolved into an all-around musician.

Not one to rest, Martin has gone to the next level and now is producing music using his original sound.
